Meet Our 2014 Cohort

We would like to introduce you to our 2014 cohort. 15 startups in smart grid and energy storage, energy efficiency, and transportation and bioenergy were selected based on their technology, market, and fit for the Hawaii and Asia Pacific markets. We look for startups that not only benefit from demonstrating their solution here, but also solve problems for Hawaii’s energy system. (Read more about this in Venture Beat).

Six of the startups will receive up to $1M each to demonstrate their technology in Hawaii as part of our growth stage program.  In addition to funding 6 new growth-stage startups, we selected 9 highly promising startups for our seed stage program. The seed program focuses on commercialization of early-stage technologies, and awards companies up to $100,000 each.
